I have Never understood deleting scenes. I mean, they add a grand total of, what, ±20 minutes to any given movie ? And if it is some running time limitation of the Theater Industry, why sell a DVD or Blu-Ray without them already added back in ? So what if the customer thinks "Gee, I don't remember That being in the original movie !" ABC Family would always run the Harry Potter movies as Director's Cuts, thankfully !

What in the world is wrong with you she about broke down and cried about newts minister being lost until she heard her screams and she went towards them then fried the face huggers. Also she doesn’t show to many emotions during this movie because basically her family in alien were all killed because they didn’t listen to her along with this movie with weyland yutani and the colonial marines laughing and shitting on her but they all died to die to that fact. So shut up and look in to it before you try to roast Aliens or Sigourney Weaver

It's a good thing they left the scene out in LOTR where he sends Boromir to get the ring. Why? Because it's stupid. NO ONE knew the ring had even re-emerged but Bilbo, Gandalf, and Elrond until it was revealed at the council in Rivendell. Before that, none of the people attending (except the 3 mentioned) even knew the ring was in play again and had been found. If it had been known that it was at Rivendell, before Boromir left Gondore then Rivendell would have quickly found itself besieged by ever dark army in middle earth. Especially since Denethor's mind had been corrupted by a Palantir, which he consulted every day, so that the Dark Lord knew everything Denethor knew. Ridiculous.

Nero being captured by Klingons would explain why they attacked and destroyed 47 warbirds while Kirk was at the Academy, but the very fact of Nero being captured makes no sense whatsoever. The simple fact of the matter is that they're wielding tech more than 1 century advanced. Even if by some miracle they did manage to capture Nero there's no conceivable way they could hold him for any length of time. Cutting that scene was absolutely the right thing to do, as it creates way more issues than it solves.

I made a mistake regarding "The Goonies." Many, *many,* years ago, my mom told me how she made the mistake of reading a best-selling novel and then seeing the movie. "It's not the same: they left out some important things. So from then on, I see the movie first, and *then* read the book. It's much better that way." So, on a long weekend with a friend at his lakeside cabin, I spotted the paperback, "The Goonies," in town when we were picking up essentials, like booze and snacks and steaks. In the octopus scene, Stef belts Mouth because she thinks he's being "fresh" with her underwater. Then they left it out of the movie without re-shooting the scene where Data talks about it. Ah, Hollywood...

Why are so many people so fond of Revenge of the Sith? I mean... did you WATCH that movie? The misplaced humour, the badly-written characters... maybe it felt good to you because it ended something horrible. But all those childish statements of people who hate the new trilogy won't make the Prequels better. It's all so sad... 1.) Anakins turn to the Dark Side was not understandable, with which I mean: They made it look like he did it for Padme, but then they showed us how he immediatly turns against everything he ever believed in (and that is another good question: what actually DID Anakin believe in?). When he killed the children - did the Emperor convince him by remembering him of the Tusc massacre? Anakins turn to the Dark Side was basically the reason why the Prequels were shot - you'd think! - but they failed so hard with this. 2.) Obiwan: Why was Obiwan so cold and smug towards Anakin? Why didn't he understand the conflicts brawling within his friend? What it dogmatism? I mean, Qui-Gonn was basically the opposite, he criticized some of the Jedi ways, so either Obiwan would have followed that line and tried to reformate the Jedi dogma - or he would have turned against his old master and became a strict Jedi master. Neither of those alternatives are shown: He's just there for making witty statements and looking concerned in front of CGI-Panoramas. 3.) Padme: .... "Any?" 4.) Yoda: "Fear leads to Anger, Anger leads to Hate, Hate leads to Metallica and Metallica leads to disappointment!" THIS IS NOT A COMPARISON TO THE NEW STAR WARS TRILOGY. EITHER YOU AGREE ON THOSE POINTS OR YOU DON'T.

I don't think episode 3 is a terrible film, it's a fun way to kill a couple of hours, but it's certainly not a great film. The script was awful and some of the acting was laughable, even from otherwise great actors. Lucas really should've got someone else to write the script and possibly even direct. I think the reason why the prequels mostly failed to live up to the originals was due to Lucas being surrounded by too many 'yes men' and the films suffered from 'emperors new clothes' syndrome as a result. There, I've released my daily build-up of Star Wars disillusion. Feel better now. I'm off to watch Empire again.

The octopus part is also in the novelization of The Goonies. The book came out considerably before the movie and I snagged it (Weekly Reader, y'all!) and read it until it literally fell apart. When the movie came out and I bugged my family enough for us to go see it, I naturally loved the movie, but I was completely flabbergasted by the lack of octopus toward the end. Imagine my amazement when the internet finally solved the mystery for me, like what, 20+ years later. LOL

The Originals were great, The prequels were great, Clone Wars and Rebels is great, the Spin Offs are great, I do hope they continue with Bona, Obi Wan and Hopefully Maul, Solo set up some great potential storylines, the Sequels however are incredibly inconsistent, TFA is good and it set up tons of avenues for potential storylines, but unfortunately the majority of the potential has been squandered in TLJ, I'm just hoping that some of the storylines that was set in TLJ will be furthered explored upon.

    7 meses atrás

The scene from Aliens is imo the biggest sin listed here. Ripley was scared as hell of those aliens and was no action hero, just a blue collar worker that got caught in a horrible situation. So for her to be willing to go to a place where those nightmares were lurking about, would need some huge motivation. The emotional breakdown she suffers is visible, in the deleted scene, when she learns that her own daughter is dead and in fact everyone and everything she knew is gone. She has nothing to go back to, because of those alien bastards. Therefore she has all of a sudden every motive to go face them again and do her part in exterminating them for good. The connection to Newt, as mention in the video, is way more understandable knowing that scene. Her motherly instincts and anger towards the bastards that already cost her her life, and have now taken her "new daughter", make for a plausible and relatable change from her being a normal and scared person to a angry flame-thrower wielding killing machine. The perfect hero and a shining example on how to make a believable and likable, strong female character.

"Dances with Wolves'" director cut added a couple of scenes that helped explain later events. First, the Sioux raiding party returning with the body of "Stands With Fist" husband which better explains her wailing and slashing herself, and second, a group of braves going after and then returning with the scalps of white buffalo hunters which explains why Lt. Dunbar camped away from them as they prepared for the next days hunt. On the other hand, the deleted scenes included in "Apocalypse, Now Redux" only proved what an excellent job was done editing the original theatrical release.
