I have seen so much change in the past 5 years alone. Working in North County St Louis. After 8 years in the Navy as a Corpsman and then become a Police Officer. What I have seen, if my eyes could forget what they have seen. The stories, the crime scenes, the blood, the bullets casings, the crying babies, the car accidents, the bodies. I have spent the last year in Administration, focusing on the training of the young officers now, making sure they have what they need for the job. I love what I do, I love the guys I work with, I love my community, I love my country.P. N.5 dias atrásThank you, Mr. Strait. I retired two years ago after working as a police officer for 23 years. It was certainly a thankless job for the most part. I started my career wanting to help people and bring to justice those who preyed on others. In the end, I was just relieved to get out alive with no serious injuries, lawsuits, or false accusations of wrongdoing. In the last third of my career I saw a horrible change in our country. I don't know if it was caused by the internet, liberal media, political over-correctness, or what. Maybe all of this and more. I saw an erosion of respect that the youth had for their parents, teachers and their elders. This led to disrespect towards any kind of authority. Then it became disrespect for one another as political lines were drawn in the sand. It felt like America regressed in regards to our humanity. And too often, the police became the scapegoat. We were accused of not doing enough, then were accused of doing too much. People complained that we had too much power, then turned around and got angry at us when it seemed we were powerless to do certain things because of legal constraints. The public screamed that they wanted more transparency, but everyone forgot that there were legal and investigative reasons why all information can't be shared. People forgot that others had a right to privacy and that if the police violate this, we get disciplined or sued. Did I feel unappreciated? Yeah. But I wasn't getting paid for that. I was paid to get the job done. I pray things get better and I worry for my friends that still have a few more years to go. Thanks again, Mr. Strait. Your song reminded me that there are some out there that still have our back.Linda Robbins6 dias atrásThank you George, very powerful.Aaron M.6 dias atrásServed just over 20 years in law enforcement. I followed my father before me (police) and his father before him (firefighter) into public service. For 24 years, my wife and kids have watched me drive away under the weight of the badge. Thank you Mr. Strait for recognizing those who serve and make split second decisions that are reviewed and dissected for years by others who weren't there. It's one the noblest of callings, police work, and I pray that those youngsters feeling the call now aren't turned away by the negative views of the few but that they answer that call for the needs of the many.Carl hartley8 dias atrásThis on goes out to all the Law enforcement professionals everywhere. Same guys that go home and beat their wives and children. Filled with so much hate and bitterness because their lives suck, the fill the need to continue being bullies since it was high school the peaked in. Like their life mission is to just run their mouth and cry and never offer an ounce of a possible solution but then turn into little children when you explain the idea wouldn't work, when they do offer a solution. The exact idiots that know Jack shit about civics or law. All you can do is just laugh when they make a comment against Law Enforcement, because they're the ones you really can't take seriously. So I encourage everyone here that everytime you see an anti cop just point and laugh, they aren't worth the time or energy to argue with them. They only act like children, and you are better then them, because you can take responsibility when they can't. Cop haters: they all lizard men man! They to swore an oath to protect and serve also. The highest divorce and suicide rate of most proffessions. Most cops wont step foot in a prison because they are to scared without their guns.NC MottoMês atrásMy father told me about this song today his partner showed him when they were on night shift and when I played it I saw a small tear form in his eyes I thank you so much for making this song especially since all these NC cops are being shot and killed and nobody is doing anything about it. Most likely your a piece of shit. You think your above the the law. You think you can bully us into submission. You cover your fellow officers backs when they do something wrong and then punish us citizens to the fullest extent when we mess up. And the newest trend for you guys is enforcing unconstitutional laws like the red flag law. To any officers that meet any one of these criteria I won't feel bad if you get shot by some stupid junkie. Now if you are like my local Sullivan county sheriff's who are honest, dependable, constitution defending, and most of all doesn't look at the average citizen as the enemy, then I have nothing but love for you. But the sad reality is most of you are terrible people but we as citizens are catching on.Emmanuel-comercole smack Jeeves19 dias atrásI agree and a lot of people are just sheep left and right both are as bad as cops and I agree we need more constitution defending cops.Julian BayardoMês atrásTo all the Men & Women Officers at the Nueces County Sheriff's Office in Corpus Christi TX!!Future CopMês atrás🖤💙👮♀️💙🖤Ciel PhantomMês atrásThis song might piss some people off..
