I so understand your garden center excitement. I suffer the same joy😁 I'm so glad to hear your plans for creating your "secret garden" too. I love how that feels, an outdoor room/rooms within the garden. Growing is more than just about food it's about space and the joy that creation gives you. You sound like you will do a great job. I'm working on the same here in Ecuador. I have a few other challenges living in South America though. If you get a minute check out my channel I'm just starting and you are a great inspiration. Thanks for the encouragement, Ruthey

AWWWW, I hear him crying for you. They are the sweetest, most protective dogs with the right guidance, IMO. Pyrs are better supervised until they are 18-24 months. Too immature and have a record of not knowing when to stop play. He will grow very quickly. Also, check out Taurine deficient DCM facebook page or the UC Davis study on pulse ingredients and how they affect breeds with no propensity for DCM.

I am so glad your little baby is not a bottle baby. I've finally gotten half of my garden planted in the past week and I feel so much better. I am in the middle of a slight tomato crisis, but I hope...I think it will work out. This is my first year growing them all from seed and right when I was going to harden them off and get them out of the house...two and a half weeks of rain. ACK. We may pull through, but I totally have gray hair over this process. *grin*

I love all the new projects you have going on in the garden and how everything is coming along. Patience is part of gardening so don't worry is everything doesn't look the way you want right away. I suggest adding an arbor in between the picket fence and grow climbing roses on it. It will create that secret garden feel and also hide the garden when there isn't much growing in it. Climbing roses take a while so I planted passionfruit while I wait for my roses and it completely covered the arbor and the the round trellis I had behind it so when you pass through it, its like you stepped into another place. I don't know if passionfruit does well in your zone, but you can grow another fast growing vine and have it climb all over the fence and hide everything.

Aaawwww I have 7-8weeks to go before I can plant my tomatoes out because even though we have all the materials and permissions we need my hubster just won't help me build the new greenhouse so I have to wait until after june 10th for the last frosts to pass (same time all squashes, cucumbers, melons and beets get planted). 😭 I'll just have to binge jess' videos and dream until then, so keep them coming. 😉 And I can plant all the cold hardy stuff like onions, spinach, lettuce and all the brassicas obviously. 💚

Hello, another lovely vlog. I have a real English cottage garden :) it should feel organic yet structured, winding paths, trellis etc all great ideas. You definitely need an arch with clematis on :) or jasmine. Mine is mixed with bulbs, perennials, and then some annuals such as cosmos come along. Plants such as peonies, roses, lupins, holyhock, poppies, verbena, everlasting sweetpeas, lavender, catmint, oxeye daisies etc are perfect layered next to structured evergreens :) can't wait to watch the gardens progression...no need to rush but to enjoy it's natural progression. :)

I have some heirloom seeds that have been passed down for 5 generations they are called the star of Bethlehem. They are tiny red flowers that are in the shape of a star. They are on a tiny vine. They are gorgeous especially on a trellis. They are evasive & annuals, they. Come up in June or July. They open in the morning & close in the heat of the day open back up in the evening. They will help to make your garden enveloped into your sanctuary of heaven. If interested let me know I will gladly send you some. God bless

You have so much space you have to figure out how many of each plant to put. I figure out what plants can grow under other plants so I can try something new! Lol.
